YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in Fucshia Desinvolte (01) and Orange Fougueux (04) | Review

Make your summer pop with Yves Saint Laurent "Baby Doll" Kiss & Blush in gorgeous Fucshia Desinvolte and Orange Fougueux. YSL released this a couple of months ago and I'm so excited that I'm finally able to get two of them for myself last week. They came in 12 shades, ranging from popping, bright colors to soft, delicate ones. And, they are usable for both lips and cheek. How convenient is that? I carry them around all the time just because they're so handy.

Let's get on to the review !

To start, here's an introduction video of the product posted by Sephora:

I chose Fucshia Desinvolte (01) and Orange Fougueux (04) because they match the summer season really well, and also just because I don't really have these colors in my collection. I've been searching for a lipstick in fucshia, which is 2014 Pantone color of the year, and the right orange for summer, but, it's been challenging to find ones that I like. And I'm happy that I've finally found the right one, thanks to YSL for introducing these gorgeous color.

The packaging is designed in Yves Saint Laurent's signature look, with the golden cap and box. Very glamorous indeed. The sponge applicator picks up the color well and very easy to use. It's really soft and glides really well on my lip without leaving any uncomfortable feeling. I can quickly apply the gloss as the applicator distributes the color evenly on the lips. For the cheek, I usually just dab a bit of color on and gently tap with my fingers to distribute the color.

This gloss has a very matte and satin finish on the lip and definitely not for those who are looking for a glossy product. On the cheek, it leaves a silky finish, creating the illusion of a soft, plump, baby-like cheek. I really like how this gloss, despite of the colors, still manage to look natural on the skin.

On the downside though, this gloss is not the most hydrating out there and my lips feel a bit dry after application. But it didn't crack my lips or anything. Though, I still won't recommend it to people who have sensitive or dry lips.

Here's a comparison of both shades on my lips:

Fucshia Desinvolte (01)

I love how this gorgeous color makes my skin look more vibrant. This is my first time purchasing this color and I'm glad I chose Yves Saint Laurent's. This sexy and playful fucshia color would match both day and night events or parties.

How it looks closely on the cheek:

Orange Fougueux (04)

This color really screams "summer" for me. It's vivid, yet, still looks natural. When used as a blush, it really brings freshness to the skin. I usually use my brown liquid eyeliner and mascara along with this color to make the create a fully natural look. The orange also goes well with my tropical pattern outfit.

A closer look after I apply it on the cheek:

YSL posted a video on how to apply the Baby Doll Kiss & Blush:

PROS:
+ Gorgeous Color (as one would expect from YSL)
+ Convenient. Can be used for both cheek & lips
+ Easy application

CONS:
+ Feels a bit dry on the lips
+ Pricey
Where To Buy?
Sephora for $ 40.

Will I Buy It Again?
Yes, I would definitely purchase the other colors when I can afford some more :)

Final Say
Took of one heart because the price was honestly over my budget. However, I love, love YSL's Baby Doll. If only they were a bit more affordable...

What do you think of this highly popular release from YSL? Do you guys have them or are interested to buy them? Let me know what you guys think! (*^_^*)
